Things to Know...
Sanitation
If garbage collection is not available through the city for your address, you may either contact a private sanitation service or make use of one of the Newton County Landfill locations: 770-784-2015.
Recycling
All residents with garbage collection through the city also have the courtesy of recycling pick-up each Thursday. Your residence should have a recycling bin on the premises; if not, you may request that one be delivered to you, 770-786-7004.
Brush and Limb Pick-up
Mondays and Tuesdays for branches and limbs less than 3” in diameter. Wednesdays and Thursdays for leaves and clippings. Larger piles of brush and limbs may be subject to a disposal fee ranging from $50-$200 depending on load size.
Water Leaks
If you repair a leak, you may bring in the receipt for labor and materials for an adjustment towards the sewer portion of your bill. There will be no adjustment for water usage in the event of a leak.
Security Lights
If you are the home owner, you may request a security light be installed on your property for an additional monthly charge of $9.63.
