OPENING: At 6:58 PM, Mr. Eady called the
meeting to order and welcomed the guests.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES: Upon motion of Mr. Manson, seconded
by Mr. Robinson, the minutes for the meeting of September 20 were adopted. The
vote was 5-0.
DANNY MARTIN DEVELOPMENT PERMIT (2): Danny Martin requested approval to construct a
greenhouse and a storage shed behind the residence. The Commission members had
a discussion on the coverage requirement for a lot of this size, as well as the
side and rear setbacks limits.
Upon motion
of Mr. Wearing, seconded by Mr. Robinson, the Planning Commission approved the
development permits to construct a greenhouse and a shed behind the residence. The
vote was 5-0.
ART VINSON
DEVELOPMENT PERMIT: Art Vinson
requested approval to add an 8 X 16 deck with steps to a previously-approved
screened room. The Commission
members had a discussion on the side and rear set back limits.
Upon motion
of Mr. Manson, seconded by Ms. Harris, the Planning Commission approved the
development permit to add an 8 X 16 deck to the previously-approved screened
room. The vote was 5-0.
CITY REPORT: The Commission members had a
discussion regarding the recent City Council meeting wherein Mr. Wearing read
the Commission’s resolution regarding the proposed parking lot on the city’s
right-of-way along the east side of Whatcoat Street. Lastly, Mr. Pepper reported
on the progress of the George Street Trail Extension project.
