→ Finance Committee – The Finance Committee will begin its work on the
FY14 (July 2013 – June 2014) budget in a meeting on Monday, April 1 at
5:30 PM.
→ ECG Annual Meeting – Terry Smith and I attended the Electric Cities of
Georgia annual meeting this week. The main topic was economic development.
One of the methods used by Fort Valley has been to dress up its downtown.
This resulted in increased interest from developers.
→ Public Works - Here’s the weekly report from Jody:
• Removed beaver dam from Turkey creek sewer line right of way.
• Repaired drainage ditch with rip rap at Turkey creek and Clark St.
• Removed dead pine tree on walking trail at the section of trail
between Moore St and Clark St.
• Repaired security lights at 4 different homes.
• Patched several different pot holes in the city.
• Maintained normal day to day work orders for electric and water.
